Welcome to the PiMaker 3D Printer official forums. Use these forums for the various questions and answers. Please keep the conversations nice and courteous as the users of the PiMaker printer range from kids to adults. We reserve the right to moderate these forums, but as a rule will only do it if it violates a common understanding of what is right and wrong. (No foul language, politics, religion or just plane evil in any sense.)

Hello All:
My name is George and I'm getting ready to start working with my UltraBot 3D printer. I decided not to go with the PiMaker version because I've beed working with X,Y,Z mechanisms since 1969. Really Old Fart!!!
And I have all the tool to do a formal analysis on the system (such as network analyzers) I'm an electrical engineer by trade but retiring and moving into the world of mechanical engineering. I need the 3D printers to crank out prototypes that I will send out to users for evaluation. Then move to some sort of production either soft or hard molding systems.
I have a 3D CAD program (Punch CAD) but I'm not very good at it yet. So I've been using OpenSCAD to create my STL files. I have one other 3D printer in my shop cranking out work and I'm looking forward to getting the UltraBot up and running.
I'm talking with Mr Steele about a way to use my machine that might benefit the group. So stay tuned.
